THE OLD HOUSE

Oh Old house!
Where are you now?
Dilapidated and wretched after been hit by a wrecked ball;
Just by one call;

Oh old house!
Where are you now? ;
Unrecognizable in your new you;
Giving the hindered objects a great view;
Crumpled down to dust and ashes;
Lives there no one except a certain cat in the mid days “mew”;

Oh house! old house!
One that gives the homeless, a refuge;
One that conceals the accused;
And sometime a shroud to a failure;

Oh old house!
Abandoned by your earlier tenants;
Now just gives roofs for the ants;
Marooned for years by;
Cared less and ignored by the passer-by;
Too creepy to enter;
Too weak to shelter;

Oh old House!
Where are those days?
 When you used to hold a majestic family?
Days when you were mentioned as -
Home sweet home;
The days which you can see no more;
The days where you have outshined the other homes around;
Jealous of your beauty and majesty, of what your were so proud;

Oh old house!
Where’s your garden, with commix of flowers grown;
Your gardener who used to regularly prune;
Oh old house!
Isn’t there
-Anybody who made a will on you?
-Anybody who can mend you?
Made yourself so ugly and besmirched
And disappeared without a clue;
Oh old house
- Where is the disorganized roof of yours? ;
Which nests birds and
Rest bats with claws;
A chimney without smoke
Coming from there;
But yet filled with dust and must;
The unburned coal there lay
Exposed to the snow and rain;
Wait to be burned by somebody in vain;
Old house! oh Old house!
How can you be so complacent and impernicious?
After they stripped you of your belongings
Now lie there bare and exposed
Facing the atrocities of nature;
-Sun, rain and snow;
Droughts, floods and blizzards;
You lay there facing those hazards;

Oh old house!
Where’s all that unused old furniture ?
Waiting for their masters to use them;
Now taken to a place so alien;
For their last days;
Before getting smashed by crusher ;

Oh old house!
You are the one who became a roof for the crime;
Served rooms for the limps and whores;
And become a burglary store;
You are the one who gave time-
For a couple in return for their cherishing memories;
The one who bore the pains of noise made
By a pregnant ready –
to bring her child into the world
A world which you know more than me.
