The Red Dot

December 8, 2013 at 4:53am
For women –
It’s the one that resembles marital status;
                  She who bores it accepts to bear the fetus;
     Symbol of entering into a stage of motherhood;
   -  Exiting the stage of childhood;
All ready to train another;
Going through the similar stages of birth, infancy, a teen ,a father or a mother;
The holy dot-put first in the time of marriage,By the ‘to-be’ on her forehead;
a step it can’t reject,as it fulfills the purpose;
A mark that holds a bond together forever;
A conversion to a new form of life which she can then savor;
The traditional dot –
Which lies between the dark effeminate eyebrows?
Reflecting the intimate feminism in her eyes;
An unsubstitutable spot I suppose;
The dot-Which labels the maternal responsibility in the daylight?
And held’s a husbands possessiveness in the time of night;
To nature-it’s the one that proves it femininity ;

For the generous mother of all-
who nurtured us with harmony and integrity;
Which initially derives it form;
Established itself on that small place-
so silent and so calm;
The dot which encompasses –
The feelings of  generosity ,kindness , togetherness  and compassion;
For those in need shown with much tenderness filled with patience and discretion;
The dot which gives pride to both the ‘mother’s’;
The dot which remains till the fall of the last feather’s
